Wide-bore recorders have a strong lower register which is desirable for Renaissance music, Folk music and in dance bands! In the lower range, the Susato wide-bore recorder is louder than any Baroque style recorder and even richer than most wooden Renaissance recorders. The range is two octaves for sopraninos and sopranos, and almost two octaves for altos. All are two section, single hole models with baroque fingering.
Because of big tone hole spaces, the -F- alto is always supplied with a key for the lowest tone hole. Altos in -G- are available with, or without, a key for low -G-.
Each recorder is available in black or rosewood-brown. A thumbrest, fingering chart, Susato Joint Grease and vinyl pouch are included with all two-piece models.
Shown from left to right:
Alto in -f'- with 1 key, Alto in -g'- with one key
2 Altos in -g'- without key, 3 Sopranos in -c''-
2 Sopraninos in -f''-, 1 Sopranino in -g-.
