Kelischek models in high -Eb- and high -D- exist in the -V- and the -S- series. If in doubt, we recommend the -S- series as the richer and fuller sounding version. The -V- series -Eb- and -D- have a slightly smaller body diameter and therefore sound softer.
All Kelischek models have separate head and body sections with a slightly tapered bore. Pitch can easily be adjusted by pulling jointed sections in or out as needed. Unlike chromatic Recorders, Pennywhistles are diatonic instruments, requiring many sizes to make playing in all keys (tonalities) possible.
The most popular sizes used are in the keys of high -D- and low -G-. Whistle body sections of the same series are interchangeable with a head section of the same series. Economical sets of whistles are available with a single head section provided along with multiple bodies for playing in different keys.
Kelischek two-piece models include a fingering chart, thumbrest,  and a  pouch. All whistles above are available in black or rosewood brown.Â
Longer whistles can be played more comfortably with Susato Keys over tone holes too far apart for small hands. Note the Susato Keys on low -C- to low -F#- whistles, the difference in playability is enormous! All Kelischek two-piece models include a fingering chart, thumbrest, and a carrying pouch. Additonal Susato Keys can be mounted over any single tone holes that are difficult to reach, on  instruments of the -M-, -L-, or -LX- series whistles for an extra $35.00 per key. Keys are placed for right-handed players, but can also be mounted for left-handed playing at no additional cost.
